Betty J. Rigsby

Betty J. Rigsby, age 94, of Marion, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at Rolling Meadows Health and Rehabilitation Center in LaFontaine, Indiana.

Betty was born on November 30, 1929, in Marion, Indiana, the daughter of the late Harrison and Lula (Harrell) Adkins.  She married Paul Rigsby, and he preceded her in death in 1993.

Betty was a member of the American Legion Post 10 Ladies Auxiliary.  She loved to play BINGO, pull tab tickets and gamble.  She was an excellent cook and loved spending time with family and grandchildren.  She also enjoyed doing word search puzzles and loved her fur babies.

She is survived by a daughter, Tammy (Bob) Pauley of Marion; sons, Joe (Leslie) Rigsby of Plymouth and Paul Michael (Donna) Rigsby of Conroe, Texas; a sister, Patti Lyons of Marion; 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two sons, Wade H. Rigsby, Sr. and Mark A. Rigsby; and one grandchild.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., on Monday, January 8, 2024, at Raven Choate Robinson Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.  Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Darrell Smith officiating.  Cremation will follow funeral services.
