A. Caroline Osmann

A. CAROLINE OSMANN, age 94, of Marion died at 3:00 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2008, at Wesleyan Heath Care Center, Marion.

Caroline was born on March 31, 1913, in Ridgeville, Indiana, the daughter of the late John Orr and Mary Pulley Banning. In 1931, she graduated from Central High School in Muncie, Indiana. Then, in September 1933, she married P. Gilbert Osmann and moved to Marion. Gilbert preceded her in death on February 20, 1967.

She was an engineering secretary at Alloy Products and then office manager of Hoosier Metal Fabrications in Gas City, until her retirement in 1965.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Marion. She served on the Marion General Hospital Auxiliary Board and the YWCA Executive Board. She had also volunteered at both groups since 1969. She was also a member of the Marcella Mothy Circle.

Survivors include Nieces, Shirley Wines (Robert), Rita Lukens (Jim), Susie Hinson (Richard) and Donnna Johnson (Charlie); and Nephews, William Bratton, John Orr (Diana) and James Orr (Shirley).

She was also preceded in death by a niece, Sandra Powell.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, with Pastor Kaye Patton officiating.

Burial will be in Grant Memorial Park, Marion, Indiana.

Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service on Tuesday at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
