Ada Marie (Vanderschaaf) Fisher

Ada Marie (Vanderschaaf) Fisher passed away on December 15, 2014. She was 101 years old and was a long time resident of Marion, Indiana.
She was born in Spring Lake, Michigan to Reverend and Mrs. John Vanderschaaf. Upon graduation from Central College, Pella, Iowa she became a school teacher prior to marrying Dr. Henry Fisher in 1939, whereupon they moved to Marion, Indiana. She was a member of Grace Methodist Church, the Mary Martha Circle, the Harmony Friendship Club, the Hostess House, the Women's Department Club, the hospital auxiliary and the Grant County Medical Alliance.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna Marie Post, of Grand Rapids, Michigan and her son, Larry Joe (Esther) Fisher, Greentown, Indiana. Also surviving are four grandsons (Mark and David Post and Stephen and Brian Fisher), one granddaughter (Erika Fisher) and three great grandchildren (Katy, Morgan and Nicholas Post).
She was preceded in death by her husband (Dr. Henry Fisher) and her daughter (Mary Ada Fisher).
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana. Burial is in Estates of Serenity, Marion, Indiana.
