Aline (Kinder) Barley

December 30, 1924 — March 8, 2015

Aline Barley, age 90, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2015, at Wesleyan Health Care Center, Marion, Indiana.

Aline was born December 30, 1924, in Gas City, Indiana, the daughter of the late Robert and Dorothy (Schooley) Kinder. She married Glen Barley on August 17, 1947, and he preceded her in death on March 27, 1999.

Aline was owner of Kustom Kraft Top Company until her retirement. She was a very active member of First Friends Church in Marion and a 50 year member of the Eastern Star, serving as Worthy Matron. She was an avid golfer, loved swimming, spending time with her family, playing the piano, cooking and hosting family dinners. She especially loved hosting Christmas Eve and having everyone over to her house. Aline was involved in the Marion Easter Pageant and the Marion Band Boosters. She supported St. Jude's, loved working in her garden and flowers, and loved to read and play Bridge. Aline was a true servant, always serving others.

Survivors include: son, Stephen (Kathy) Barley of Marion, Indiana; daughter, SaraAnn (David) Thompson of Marion, Indiana; sister, Elaine (Randy) Talbott; grandchildren, Ryan Thomas (Jennifer) Barley, Amanda (Kevin Brown) Barley, Adam Thomas (Lindsey) Breedlove, and Leah Breedlove; and great-grandchildren, Logan Thomas Barley, and James Thomas Barley.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, David Lee Talbott.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2015, at First Friends Church, 2211 Wabash Road, Marion Indiana, with Pastor Bob Garra officiating.

Burial will follow funeral services in Estates of Serenity, Marion, Indiana.

Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at First Friends Church, 2211 Wabash Road, Marion, Indiana.
