ANNA L. MONTS, age 73, of Marion, went to be with the Lord Thursday, July 24, 2008.
ANNA was born on April 27, 1935, in Sweetser, Indiana, the daughter of the late Asa and Diva (Shaver) Easter. She graduated from Sweetser High School in 1953. On June 6, 1954, she married James L. Monts. He survives. She worked at the Sirloin Stockade for the past 17 years. She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren & great-grandchildren.
Survivors include Husband, James L. Monts of Marion, Indiana; Daughters, Cindy Thatcher (Gary) of Hicksville, Ohio, Brenda Kenworthy (Tom) of Clayton, Indiana, Dawn Wolf (Don) of Marion, Indiana and Elaine Parker of Marion, Indiana; Sons, Greg Monts (Julia) of Hartford City, Indiana and Franklin Monts (Debbie) of Mooresville, Indiana; Brothers, Thomas H. Easter (Phyllis) of Sweetser, Indiana and William "Bill" Easter (Violet) of Marion, Indiana; 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Richard Easter and two sisters, Virginia McCrary and Juanita Easter.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 28, 2008, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, with Reverend Gary Ashbrook and Reverend Jeff Timmons officiating.
Burial will be in Gardens of Memory, Huntington County, Indiana.
Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, July 27 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
Memorial contributions can be made to Faith Baptist Church or Cancer Services of Grant County.
