Annette T. Petrey, 88, Marion, died Thursday morning May 22nd at Marion General Hospital Marion, Indiana after a short illness.
She was born at home in Mt Healthy, Ohio to the late George and Theresa Mullen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis, in 1988; and two infant sons James and Douglas. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, George, Ed, John; and sister, Rose Knox.
She trained as a nurse during World War II, and gave that up for the career raising a family full time.
Mrs. Petrey has lived in Marion for over 50 years. Her husband, Louis, worked at General Motors for 34 years, 25 of those years were in Marion after transferring from Hamilton, Ohio in 1961. Both were very active members of St. Paul's Catholic Church.
Mrs. Petrey is survived by three sons, Michael (Cathey) - Texas, Robert (Rita) - Ohio, David (Penny) - Kansas; four daughters Mariann (Butch) First - Indiana, Teresa Rhoads - Indiana , Peggy (Randy) West - Pennsylvania, Celeste Messer - Texas; 20 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; sister in-law's, Kitty Mullen and Ginny (Chuck) Renner; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family favorite memories is how she lived her faith in everyday life, loved to laugh, play cards, bingo, and how she enjoyed her family and friends.

Funeral Mass Services will be held at Noon on Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1009 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana with Reverend Richard Weisenberger officiating. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. to Noon on Wednesday at the funeral home prior to Funeral Mass.
Burial will follow in Grant Memorial Park Cemetery, Marion, Indiana.
