Arbella Mae (Jackson) Davis, age 87, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2012, at the Rolling Meadows Health and Rehabilitation Center, LaFontaine, Indiana.
Arbella was born on April 15, 1924, in Marion, Indiana, the daughter of the late Harry Jackson, Sr. and Edith (Green) Jackson. She married Lyman Davis in 1942, and he preceded her in death on January 17, 2006.
Arbella earned her Master's degree and was a teacher, counselor, and principal at Wabash City School, Mississinewa School Corporation, Bennett School, and St. Paul Catholic School until her retirement.
She was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Marion, the Methodist Women, Eastern Star, Delta Theta Tau, and the Republican Women. She also sang in the church choir and was a volunteer at Marion General Hospital for many years.
Survivors include: daughter, Rebecca Lynn "Bekki" Johnston (John) of Marion, Indiana; granddaughter, Happi Christina Nicole Stoffel (Joel); great-grandson, Alexander Christopher Stoffel; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lyman Davis, a brother, Harry Jackson, Jr., and a sister, Florence Poor.
Services will be private. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in Marion National Cemetery, Marion, Indiana.
