She was predeceased by her father Herman Bundy, mother Wynetta Vance-Bundy, infant sister Carolee Bundy, and infant son Brent Lee Jellison.
Arlene was listed on the tribal roster of the Miami Nation of Indians of Indiana and will be laid to rest in the Francis Slocum Cemetery in Wabash, Indiana.
She served as an LPN in Indiana and Pennsylvania for 40 years, between 1966-2006. She had a passion to take care of the sick and elderly people needing medical care. She retired in 2006, lived near her son in Ohio, and then moved to SWFL to reside near her daughter in 2017.
She was also a member of Christy St. UMC, Ossian Church of the Nazarene, and Warren Church of the Nazarene. She loved participating in ladies Bible study, preparing meals for others, church choir, and serving in the infant and toddler ministry. She participated in various religious events: Marion Easter Pageant, Marion Easter Cantata. She loved attending the annual Nazarene Camp Meeting for several years.
After her son, Jeremy, enlisted in the U.S. Marines in 1998, she joined the Blue Star Mothers to support the military and their families.
She also enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, doing needlepoint, sending birthday and Christmas cards, and talking endlessly to her family and friends on the phone. She loved those close to her very much and wanted to live forever to spend time with her family. Her last word on this earth was “celebrate”, and we believe she was planning a celebration in Heaven with Jesus. We embrace that memory and look forward to joining her in Heaven when we are called home too. We will love and miss you momma!
