Barbara Jean Stephens, age 88, of Marion, passed away Monday, March 4, 2013, at Miller's Merry Manor, Marion, Indiana.
She was born on January 26, 1925, in Marion, Indiana, the daughter of the late Arthur and Elsie (Tippey) Hendey. She was a 1942 graduate of Marion High School. On September 15, 1947, she married Arthur Stephens, and he preceded her in death on April 3, 1993.
She was a homemaker and worked at Long's Cleaners for 8 years, and Modern Cleaners for 38 years, before retiring in 1986. Barbara enjoyed reading and working all kinds of puzzles.
Survivors include: nephew, Jay (Leisa) Julian of Yorktown, Indiana; and two nieces, Karen (David) Priest of Anderson, Indiana, and Kathy (Don) Tyler of Missouri.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2013, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, with Pastor Tom Ream officiating.
Burial will be in Estates of Serenity, Marion, Indiana.
