Bernadette Brandle Leaming, age 82, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2013, in her home.

Bernadette Brandle was born on June 27, 1930, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Thomas Leo and Anna (Scheer) Gallagher. She married Walt Brandle, and he preceded her in death in 1980. She then married Paul Leaming, and he preceded her in death in 2001.

Bernadette worked in the Social Service Department for the State of Indiana. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and the Rosary Altar Society as well as several other church organizations including Circle-6.

Survivors include: daughter, Barbara Ann Pegg of LaFontaine, Indiana; son, Wally Brandle of LaFontaine, Indiana; step-daughter, Mary (Gary) Yarger of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; two sisters, Miriam Oleska of Johnstown, PA, and Patricia Bushko of Akron, Ohio; brother, Jim (Jane) Gallagher of Marion, Indiana; grandchildren, Andy Pegg, Danny Pegg, Jen Duel, Michelle Brandle, Kyle Brandle, and Amy Brandle; several great-grandchildren, and many nieces & nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Bruce Brandle.

Funeral Mass Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1009 Kem Road, with Father Richard Weisenberger officiating.

Burial will be in Grant Memorial Park, Marion, Indiana.

Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, March 11, 2013, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
