BERTHA M. ELOFSON, age 78, of Wauchula, Florida, passed away Sunday, May 30, 2010, in Sebring, Florida.

Bertha was born February 11, 1932, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of the late Floyd and Wilma Wolfe. On June 6, 1953, she married John Elofson. He survives.

She was a librarian at Kendall Elementary School in Marion for 30+ years until her retirement. She enjoyed playing BINGO, bowling, camping, square dancing and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include, husband, John Elofson of Wauchula, Florida; daughter, Sharon Spence (Jim) of Somerset, Indiana; son, Mark Elofson (Nancy) of Garrett, Indiana; brother, Charles Reagon; two sisters, Hazel Reed (Bob) of Marion, Indiana, and Barbara Holcraft; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Jefferies, and a brother, John Wolfe.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 4, 2010, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, with the Reverend Tom Mansbarger officiating.

Burial will be in Gardens of Memory, Huntington County, Indiana.

Friends may call from Noon until service time on Friday, June 4 at the Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.

Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
