Beverly J. (Marshall) Colley, age 67, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2013, in her home.
Beverly was born November 11, 1946, in Marion, Indiana, the daughter of the late Donald and Mary Lucille (Cole) Marshall. She married Tom Colley in 1989, and he survives.
When Bev's children were young, she loved helping with Spring Fling, cub scouts, and girl scouts at Riverview Elementary. She was a retired Pediatrics' Nurse who worked at Marion General Hospital and at various doctor's offices and private duty nursing. Bev owned a knitting shop in downtown Marion and also on the bypass, and was also co-owner of Quality Care Ambulance with her husband Tom. She loved to travel and use her embroidery machines and knitting. She also enjoyed fishing in the pond at their house, and always loved seeing her grandchildren. Bev was a former member of Psi Iota Xi Sorority.
Survivors include: husband, Tom Colley of Marion, Indiana; son, David H. (Erika) Devine, III of Marion, Indiana, daughter, Carrie Devine (Jon) Rolfsen of Fishers, Indiana; son, Jeff A. (Vicki) Colley of Marion, Indiana, and son, Jared W. Colley of Crawfordsville, Indiana; brother, Richard Marshall of Russiaville, Indiana; sister, Phyllis (Jim) Miller of Converse, Indiana; sister-in-law & travel buddy, Bonnie McDowell of Anderson, Indiana; 9 granddaughters, 3 grandsons and several nieces & nephews. A special thank you to Krystal Miller for all the loving care over the last three years, and all the Hospice workers for their loving care.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Kristene Devine Piazza; and sister, Mary Ellen Marshall.
Private Graveside Services and Burial will be held in Estates of Serenity, Marion, Indiana at a later date.
Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m., Sunday, November 17, 2013, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
