Bonnie Colley McDowell, age 68 of Anderson, passed away Friday, December 11, 1015 in her home.
Bonnie was born June 25, 1947 in Erie, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late William and Sarah (Saye) Colley. She married Michael Lee McDowell and he preceded her in death in 1989.
Bonnie was a 1965 graduate of Marion High School. She earned a bachelor's degree from University of Florida in 1987 and earned her master's degree from Indiana Wesleyan in 2005. She worked at Meridian as director of human resources from 1995 to 1998. She was also the director of human resources for Hoosier Park in Anderson from 1998 to 2011.
She enjoyed quilting and traveling.
She is survived by her daughter, Mindy (Terry) Walker of Knightstown; brother, Tom Colley, of Marion, Indiana; grandson, Jacob Walker; nephew, Jeff (Vicki) Colley of Marion, Indiana, David (Erika) Devine of Marion, Indiana, and Jared (Charlene) Colley of Crawfordsville, Indiana; and niece, Carrie (John) Rolfsen of Fishers, Indiana.
She is also preceded in death by her parents, William and Sarah Colley; husband, Michael Lee McDowell; son, Eric Thomas McDowell; sister, Sandra Lee Colley; and sister-in-law, Beverly Colley.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, December 13, 2015 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W Kem Road, Marion, Indiana. Burial will be at a later date in High Springs, Florida.
