Carolyn Virginia Acree, age 90 of Marion, passed away Friday, October 19, 2012 at her residence.
Carolyn was born on July 21, 1922 in Terre Haute, IN the daughter of the late Fred and Marie (Pound) Armstrong. She married Shannon F. Acree on September 20, 1947, and he preceded her in death on April 12, 1991.
She attended First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include: sister, Margaret A. Cox of Crawfordsville, Indiana; brother, Wilton F. (Marjorie) Armstrong of Terre Haute, Indiana; 6 nephews; and several close friends with children who always called her Grandma.
Friends may call from 11:00 to 12:00 noon, Wednesday October 24, 2012 in Raven- Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana with a graveside committal service to follow. Burial will be in Grant Memorial Park Cemetery, Marion, Indiana.
