Carolyn A. Kroger, age 94, of Wabash, formerly of San Diego, California, died at 1:45 p.m. Monday, November 30, 2009, at the Wabash County Hospital, Wabash, Indiana.
Carolyn was born February 20, 1915, in New Lisbon, Indiana, the daughter of the late Carl A. and Jeanette (Stigleman) Wissler. She married Raymond M. Kroger who preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker and Navy wife and loved to travel the world. She was very active in several functions in the San Diego area and was a member of the Pi Sigma Phi Sorority. Family was the most important thing to her and she had enjoyed spending the last three years in Indiana, her childhood home.
Survivors include: daughter, Gretchen Svidal (Jay) of Orange, California; two grandsons, Colin Svidal (Nicole) of Wabash, Indiana, and Erik Svidal (May) of Orange, California; and one great-grandson, Tanner Jay Svidal.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, T. Jeanette Steiner, a brother, Jack Wissler and a sister, Mary Anna Hagner.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
