Carroll J. Cobb

Carroll J. Cobb, age 79, of Marion, passed away at 7:34 a.m. Monday, March 29, 2010, in his residence in the loving arms of his family.
He was born on September 1, 1930, in Duffield, Virginia, the son of the late Eli and Mary Ann (Pearcy) Cobb. He married Alice Frances Lyons on November 30, 1957. She survives.
He was an automobile mechanic at Southworth Ford until his retirement and was an Army veteran, serving during the Korean War.
Survivors include, his wife of 52 years, Frances Cobb of Marion, Indiana; two daughters, Bethany Roper (Gregory) of Muncie, Indiana, and Linda Cobb of Madison, Tennessee; brother, Hagen Cobb (Lois) of Duffield, Virginia; and two grandchildren, Brianna & Elijah Roper.
He was also preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 1, 2010, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, with Reverend Mick Wilson officiating.
Entombment will be in Grant Memorial Park Cemetery, Marion, Indiana.
Friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana. Family is also open to visitors at home at any time.
