Charles Edward Cline, 96, Marion, died Sunday at Miller's Merry Manor, Marion.
He was born Oct. 29, 1916, in Camden to the late Asa and Josephine (Snoberger) Cline. He married Cleta M. Gallimore on Dec. 24, 1938, and they celebrated 70 years together before she preceded him in death Oct. 13, 2009.
He served with the Navy in the South Pacific during World War II. He worked as a tool and die maker, first at Marion Machine Co. and later, for 26 years, at General Tire and Rubber Co., retiring in 1980. He was a member of Nelson Street Wesleyan Church, Marion.
Survivors include two sons, Jack (JoAnn) Cline and Mike (Jane) Cline, both of Marion; a sister, Grace Arion, Camden; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one step great-grandchild.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2013 in Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, with the Rev. Steve Fletcher officiating. Entombment will be in Gardens of Memory, Huntington County.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
