Christopher L. Chambers, age 36, passed away at 12:37 a.m. Friday, February 4, 2011, in Marion General Hospital, Marion.
Christopher was born on December 22, 1974, in Marion, Indiana, the son of the late Charles Chambers and Ruby (Smyser) Chambers. His mother survives.
He was a graduate of Marion High School in 1992. He was a member of Central Christian Church in Marion and was an Eagle Scout of Mt. Olive Church, Troop #433. Christopher also volunteered at the Salvation Army and a was an avid Purdue and Colts fan.
Survivors include: mother, Ruby Chambers of Marion, Indiana; brother, C.L. Chambers (Leora) of LaFontaine, Indiana; two sisters, Connie Chambers of Marion, Indiana, and Carol Chambers of Fairmount, Indiana; niece, Michelle Bowman (Joe); two nephews, Ryan Chambers (Brittni), and Justin Chambers; great-nieces, Morgan Bowman, and Ella Chambers; great-nephews, Dakota & Ethan Bowman, and Griffin Chambers; and several loving aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Chambers on April 3, 2009.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 9, 2011, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, with Reverend Don Smothers officiating.
Burial will be in Gardens of Memory, Huntington County, Indiana.
Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 8 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
