Clair V. Stout

March 12, 1921 — July 13, 2009

CLAIR V. STOUT, age 88, of Marion, died at 4:45 p.m. Monday, July 13, 2009, at Miller's Merry Manor, Marion.

CLAIR was born on March 12, 1921, in Emporia, Kansas, the son of the late Claude and Lera (VanVactor) Stout. On July 16, 1961, he married Patty Satterfield. She survives.

He was an Army veteran serving during WWII. He was an electronics technician at Cooper TV, and then worked in the engineering department at RCA.

He was a member of Temple Congregational Church, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, sang in the Anderson Choral Club, played trumpet and formed his own band during his school years. He loved all types of music, was a wonderful husband, father, & grandfather, had a sharp wit, a great sense of humor and was a forward thinker.

Survivors include: wife, Patty Stout of Marion, Indiana; daughter, Jennifer Burk (Brad) of Zionsville, Indiana; and 2 grandchildren, Isabel Claire and Patrick William.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Audra Doles.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 17, 2009, at Temple Congregational Church, 1006 N. Western Avenue, with Reverend Marv Wiseman officiating.

Burial with full military honors will be in Grant Memorial Park, Marion, Indiana.

Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the services at the church on Friday.
