CLARENCE "MILTON" MOORE, age 70, of Marion, died at 8:10 p.m., Monday, June 9, 2008, at Rolling Meadows Health Care Center, LaFontaine.
He was born on December 27, 1937, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the son of the late Joseph Milton Moore and Opal Edith Birk. He married Beverly Wiley on June 28, 1957. She survives.
He worked at Anaconda, retiring in 1999. He enjoyed fishing, working crossword puzzles and all sports, especially the Missouri State Lady Bears. He was formerly a racer and loved all forms of racing, and was a big fan of the Gas City I-69 Speedway where for the last 10 years he had been a volunteer. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include wife, Beverly Moore of Marion, Indiana; son, Michael Alan Moore of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; three daughters, Denisa Lynn Nelson (Daniel) of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Sharon Kay Richwine of Winamac, Indiana and Rebecca Ann Tunis (Ron) of Winamac, Indiana; brother, Joseph Clyde Moore of Angola, Indiana; sister, Opal Lorene Tavernier (Tom) of Mt. Vernon, Missouri; 5 grandchildren & 1 great-grandson.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 12, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home.
