Darlene Phillips, age 71, of Marion, passed away on November 25, 2016 in Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Wayne, Indiana.
Darlene was born on April 16, 1945 in Valparaiso, Indiana to the late Harold and Dorothy (Massom) Ludington. She married Eston Steven Phillips on June 28, 1974 and he preceded her in death on December 31, 2014.
She was a receptionist for Whispering Pines in Valparaiso for 15 years. She enjoyed sewing and baking and loved being a mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her daughter, Angela Waggoner of Elwood, Indiana; two sisters, Cheryl Sedlacek and Deborah Ludington, both of Portage, Indiana; grandchildren, Thomas Wesley Waggoner, Jr., Emili Rose Waggoner, Collene Liliana Waggoner, and Holli Denise Waggoner; niece, Joelle (Brittany) Evola of Portage, Indiana; nephews, Phillip Sedlacek, Adam (Chantal) Sedlacek, Jon (Amy Donahue) Sedlacek, Jordan Oakes, and Josh Oakes, all of Portage, Indiana; great-nephew, Elijah Johnson of Portage, Indiana; and special friend to the family, Christopher Brush.
Memorial Services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2016 in Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana with Angela Waggoner officiating.
