David M. Kiser, age 54, of Marion, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at IU Med Center, Indianapolis, Indiana.
David was born on July 18, 1959, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the son of Max and Donna (McDaniel) Kiser. He married Nancy Kirk, and she survives.
David graduated from Marion High School in 1977. He earned his Bachelors of Science Degree from Ball State University in 1982. David grew up and worked at Mac's Ace Hardware with his grandparents, parents, and sisters before and after graduation. He then worked at Ross Supply, before moving to Greenfield. He then worked as a Sales Executive for 17 years at Superior Supply in Indianapolis.
In high school, he was involved in sports playing track, wrestling and football.
He loved spending time with his family, especially when his girls were younger and helped coach their volleyball teams. David loved going with family and friends to the Boundary Waters in Minnesota. He loved sports and watching IU and the Colts with his mom and dad.
David loved life, and all its twists and challenges. He had a big smile; sense of humor, a great big heart-he loved helping people.
David was a member of Temple Congregational Church and loved his congregational family.
Survivors include: his parents, Max & Donna Kiser of Marion, Indiana; two daughters, Kaelyn (Ryan) Roberts of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Lauren (fiancé' Brian) Kiser of Illinois; two sisters, Pam (Ron) Griffith of Gas City, Indiana, and Sue Ann (Michael) Stepler of Marion, Indiana;
Brother-in-law, Randy (Pam) Kirk of Richmond, Indiana; sister-in-law, Sue ( Archie) James of Ft.
Wayne, Indiana; special aunts, Ann Whitesell of Kokomo, Indiana, and Sue Williams of Bloomington, Illinois; nieces and nephews, Megan, Cameron, and Allie, Kyle, Skyler, and Lezley; Katie, Kendall, Ryland, Ben and Paul; special family friend, Don Allen of Marion, Indiana; and one grandson on the way. He was preceded in death by sister Janene, grandparents Glen and Wilma McDaniel, E.L. and Margaret Kiser, In-Laws Paul and Helen Kirk, Tence Williams and Brady Kirk.
There will be a memorial service at Temple Congregational Church on Saturday, December 14 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverends Tom Mansbarger and Marv Wiseman officiating.
