DAVID L. QUICK, age 82, died on Saturday, August 15, 2009, at Colonial Oaks Health & Rehabilitation Center, Marion.
DAVID was born on September 5, 1926, in Swayzee, Indiana, the son of the late Cecil & Mabel (Currens) Quick. On February 14, 1969, he married Lillie (Brock) Williams. She survives.
He was a Wire Braiser at Anaconda Wire for 43 1/2 years, and drove a school bus for Marion Community Schools for 27 years.
He was a member of South Marion Church of Christ. He was very active in the church his whole life, had a kind and gentle spirit, never spoke ill of anyone, and loved to play bingo.
Survivors include: wife, Lillie Quick of Marion; son, Davery Joe Quick of Marion; son, Larry D. Williams (Jane) of Gas City; son, James D. Williams of Marion; daughter, Florerce Rennaker (Terry) of North Wilkesboro, NC; daughter, Shirley M. Rodgers of Roanoke; daughter, Judy McGreevy (Jim) of Tulsa, Oklahoma; daughter, Debra Williams (Ron) of Marion; 28 grandchildren, several great & great-great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by son: Orven D. Quick, stepson: Charles Lee Williams, step-daughter: Vera Mae McDonald, 2 brothers & 1 sister.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 18, 2009, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, with Brother Gaylen Miller & Brother Allen Jones Officiating.
Burial will be in Gardens of Memory, Huntington County, Indiana.
