Debra Tinkle, age 68 of Converse passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 in her home.
Debra was born February 14, 1953 in Marion, Indiana the daughter of the late James Dalrymple and Shirley (Schwab) Dillman, her mother survives. She married Jerry Tinkle on April 14, 1989, and he survives.
Debra was an Administrative Assistant for I.D.E.S. (International Disaster Emergency Service) for 15 years. She was in charge of “Harvest of Talents” raising money for I.D.E.S. to feed the hungry people.
She was a member of Unity Christian Church and loved being part of the Praise Team playing the guitar. She also enjoyed working puzzles, reading and knitting socks, baby clothes and afghans. Debra especially loved her time spent vacationing in South Haven, Michigan with her family. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan especially player Kyle Schwarber, and watching NASCAR car driver, Jimmy Johnson.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Tinkle of Converse; her mother, Shirley Dillman of Marion; sons, Matt Mitchell of Noblesville and Ben Mitchell of Indianapolis; a daughter, Elisabeth (Travis) Moore of Noblesville; brothers, James (Angie) Dalrymple and Ray (Sara) Dalrymple; a sister, Diana (Neal) Nusbaumer; grandchildren, Chandler Mitchell of Indianapolis, Sadie Mitchell of Louisville, Lilly Mitchell of Louisville, Cooper Moore of Noblesville, and Crosby Moore of Noblesville; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Mitchell; sisters-in-law, Louise Dalrymple, Brenda McGlothin and Paula Peeper; brothers-in-law, Mark Renbarger, Cavin Mitchell, and Bryan Mitchell; mothers-in-law, Mary Mitchell and Virginia Main; uncle, John Schwab; aunt, Barbara Messersmith; friend, Pam Roberts; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Myron Mitchell; her father, James Dalrymple; a brother, Michael Dalrymple; a daughter-in-law, Stacy Dye; a sister-in-law, Sharon Watson, and father-in-law, Bryce Mitchell.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at Unity Christian Church, 140 N. Pennsylvania, Marion, Indiana with Ministers Kevin Greenlee and Rick Jett officiating.
Arrangements are entrusted to Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
