DELORES J. SISSON, age 79, died at 6:17 p.m. Monday, September 29, 2008, at her home in Marion.

DELORES was born on November 14, 1928, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of the late Albert W. Hauer and Johanna (Gergens) Hauer. She married Richard E. Sisson on August 12, 1950. He preceded her in death in May 1993.

She was a graduate of Indiana University in 1950 with a degree in elementary education. She then taught school in Bloomington from 1950 to 1951. She was a homemaker and co-owner of Merle Norman Cosmetics Studio in Marion for 25 years, until her retirement in 2005. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Tri Kappa, PEO, the Advance Club and A.A.U.W.

Survivors include her Mother, Johanna Hauer of Marion, Indiana; Son, Thomas Sisson (Kristy) of Marion, Indiana; Daughters, Pamela Atkinson (Cork) of Gas City, Indiana, Cynthia Duffaut (Calvin) of Pleasant Hill, California and Cecily Stevens (Dennis) of Swayzee, Indiana; a Sister, Jacquline Davies (Richard) of Marcellus, New York; 8 grandchildren & 2 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at Noon Saturday, October 4, 2008, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, with Pastor Mark Carlson officiating.

Burial will be in Grant Memorial Park, Marion, Indiana.

Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until services on Saturday, October 4 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
