Dirk Guffey

Dirk Guffey, age 59, of Marion, went home to be with the Lord on April 30, 2019.

Dirk was born July 18, 1959 in Marion, Indiana the son of Odell and Patricia Guffey.  He operated Estates of Serenity Cemetery in Marion for several years and later was a QMA at Peabody Retirement Community in North Manchester, Indiana. He was also a member of First Baptist Church, Marion.

In addition to his parents, Dirk is survived by two daughters, Taylor Guffey (Shawn McBroom) and Alexandra Guffey, and his previous wife and mother to his daughters, Teressa Guffey, all of Marion; step-daughter, Jordan Choate of Marion; two sisters, Laina (Phil) Leech and Lisa (Jeff) Timmons, both of Marion; and three granddaughters, Sydney Choate, Grace Guffey and Hudson Guffey.

Dirk was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Isabelle Guffey.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 3, 2019 at Estates of Serenity Cemetery, 2225 S. Lincoln Blvd., Marion, Indiana. Pastor Jeff Timmons will officiate.

Arrangements entrusted to Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
