Doris Virginia McIlwain, age 85, formerly of Grant County, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2013, at St. Vincent Hospice Home, Indianapolis, Indiana.
Doris was born July 17, 1927, in Wabash County, Indiana, the daughter of the late William and Marie (Tharp) Dalrymple.
She was a department manager at Jacobson's Department Store in Indianapolis until her retirement in 1994. Doris was a former member of the Jalapa Methodist Church.
Survivors include: two sons, Ron McIlwain (Marge) of Rensselaer, Indiana and Jeff McIlwain (Rita) of Marion, Indiana; two daughters, Susan McIlwain (Dr. Robert Presson) of Zionsville, Indiana and Lisa Prokopek (John) of Norwalk, Connecticut; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Doris was also preceded in death by brother, Maurice Dalrymple; and three sisters, Hilma Weesner, Bonnie Oberhoulser, and Leola Griffin.
Funeral Services will be held at Noon Saturday, February 16, 2013, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, with Reverend Tom Ream officiating.
Burial will be in Grant Memorial Park, Marion, Indiana at a later date.
Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. to Noon, Saturday, February 16, prior to funeral services at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
