Dorothy E. Luce, age 85, of Gas City, passed away at 5:58 p.m. Monday, November 15, 2010, in Marion General Hospital, Marion, Indiana.
Dorothy was born on June 30, 1925, in Marion, Indiana, the daughter of the late Clark and Mary Francis (Wall) Siebold. She married Gerald Luce in 1947, and he preceded her in death in 1984.
Dorothy was a graduate of Ball State University School of Nursing and worked as a registered nurse at Marion General Hospital for 36 years, retiring in 1990 as the Assistant Director of Nursing. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and loved to play cards, especially Bridge.
Survivors include: two sons, David Luce (Lillian) of Hollywood, Florida; and Jeffrey Luce (Sharon) of Becker, Minnesota; two daughters, Nancy Campbell of Gas City, Indiana; and Peggy Cook (Graydon) of Blandon, Pennsylvania; brother-in-law, Findley Christie of Sweetser, Indiana; niece, Julie Kendall (Ken) of Hope Mills, N. Carolina; 9 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Betty Foust, Mary Francis (Frankie) Daniel and Mildred Christie.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 19, 2010, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, with the Reverend Kaye Patton officiating.
Burial will be in Estates of Serenity, Marion, Indiana.
Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 18 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
