Edwin L. Lange

August 18, 1931 — September 5, 2014

Edwin L. Lange, age 83, of Marion, passed away Friday, September 05, 2014, at 2:05 a.m. at home with his family.

He was born in Banquo, Indiana to Max and Vera (King) Lange. He married Annette Keesler on December 22, 1961, and she survives. He graduated from Banquo High School.

He went into the Air Force right after graduation and was discharged in 1960. A few years later, he went into The National Guard in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, where he received the highest honor. He then went into the Air Force Reserves to receive his M.S. Sgt. Strip. He retired from Corps of Engineers in 1991.

He was a life member of The American Legion Post 10 and a life member of The Forty and Eight. He enjoyed watching sports on TV and playing with the grandkids.

He is survived by his wife, Annette Lange; three sons, Max Arthur Lovett, William LeRoy Lange, and Max Jay Lange; one daughter Deborah Joan Lovett; and four grandchildren; Seanna Lange, Treston Lange, Dalton Carroll, and Heaven Daughn.

Edwin was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings; Hattie, Reta, Hildreth, Herman, Elmer and Fred.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 8, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home with Chaplain Charlie Hall officiating.

Burial with Military Honors will follow funeral services in Grant Memorial Park Cemetery, Marion, Indiana.

Memorial contributions may be made to Family Hospice, 705 S. Baldwin Avenue, Marion, Indiana 46952.
