Evelyn "Sis" Johnson Lykins, age 90, of Marion went to sit on the porch swing in Heaven on September 13, 2014. She was born in Alabama to the late Roy and Loda Faulk. Moving to Indiana, she raised her kids, worked various jobs, and joined Woodland Hills Church of Christ.
Evelyn enjoyed talking on the phone, and gathering clippings from the newspaper about family and friends.
Survivors include children, Jimmy Johnson, Joyce (David) King, and Bobby Johnson (Robin Freeman), all of Marion; grandchildren, Kelly Ligocki, Tommy Johnson, and Michelle Niccum; great-grandchildren, Connor and Cameron Ligocki, Brittany (Karl) Fox and Tyler Johnson, Heather and Jordan Niccum, Piercon and Maddie Lyons; great-great granddaughters, Alyssa, Kaydince, and Mckenzie Fox; siblings, Waylon (Sharon) Faulk of Marion, Wesley (Linda) Faulk, Judy (Larry) Meadows, and Donnie (Renee) Faulk, all of Alabama. She also had numerous nieces, nephews, and many, many friends including Rebecca Johnson and Kim Smith.
Preceding her in death were her beloved grandson, Zachery Johnson, spouse, Jim Lykins, brothers, Almond, Richard, David, Cecil, Edward, Bobby Joe, and Charles.
Visitation will be held Tuesday September 16, 2014, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
Please join us in celebrating Evelyn's life on Wednesday September 17, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home, with Bruce Everett officiating.
Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park Cemetery, Marion, Indiana.
