FAYE M. SHAFER, died on Saturday, March 14, 2009, at Colonia Oaks Healthcare, Marion.
FAYE was born in Grant County, Indiana, the daughter of the late Newton A. and Gertrude F. ( Elwood) Fields. On October 31, 1948, she married W. Max Shafer in Fletcher Chapel Church, Marion. He preceded her in death on June 10, 1987.
She was a member of the Business and Professional Womens Club, Loyalty League, YWCA and Marion General Hospital Auxillary. She attended New Hope Church in her later years.
Survivors include Nieces: Carolyn Hoke (Carl) of Marion, Indiana; Phoebeann Glass of Atascadero, California; Kay Saintato (Tom) of Hartford City, Indiana; & Ellen Armes of New Berlin, Pennsylvania; Nephew, Paul J Fields, II (Georgeanna) of Factoryville, Pennsylvania.
She was preceded in death by her Brother: Paul Fields, Sister: Glennore Herring Nephews: Richard Herring & Howard Huston.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2009, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, with Reverend Paul J. Fields, II officiating.
Burial will be in Estates of Serenity, Marion, Indiana.
Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services on Tuesday, March 17, 2009, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
