Florence M. "Flossy" Middleton, age 84, of Marion, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2011, in her residence.
Florence was born in Colchester Eessex, England, the daughter of the late John William and Grace May (Byford) Evans. She married Philip J. Middleton, who preceded her in death.
Florence was a Respiratory Care Director & Practioner at Marion General Hospital for 33 years, retiring in 1989.
She enjoyed traveling, the lake cottage, and was an avid sports fan. Most of all, she enjoyed each and every one of her family members listed below. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, and the American Association of Respiratory Care.
Survivors include: daughter, Janice Brown of Marion, Indiana; four grandchildren, Michael (Trina) Horn of Van Buren, Indiana, William Horn of Marion, Indiana, Philip Horn of Marion, Indiana, and Penny Leffingwell of Marion, Indiana; 9 great-grandchildren, Matthew (Jenni) Brown of Van Buren, Indiana, Heather (Daniel) Van De Merwe of Gas City, Indiana, Megan Horn of Marion, Indiana, Melissa (David) Lynn of Waterloo, Iowa, Brittney Horn of Marion, Indiana, Kevin Silver of Marion, Indiana, Jeffrey Silver of Marion, Indiana, Skylar Leffingwell of Pendleton, Indiana, and Philip Joseph Horn of Marion, Indiana; and four great-great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2011, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1009 Kem Road, Marion, with Father Richard Weisenberger officiating.
Burial will be in Estates of Serenity, Marion, Indiana.
