Frankie B. Graves, age 88, lost her courageous battle with cancer on Friday morning November 2, 2012 in her home surrounded by her family.

Frankie was born on October 3, 1924 to the late William F. and Nellie (Cole) Law in Austin, Texas.

Frankie B. Law married Richard A. Graves on April 28, 1944, and he preceded her in death February 16, 2003.

Frankie took great pride in her family. She was very proud to be a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a great-grandmother and an aunt to the many nieces and nephews in both Michigan and Texas.

She retired from food service at Marion Community Schools where she touched many children's lives by ensuring that they had a hot meal and a smile every day at Southeast Elementary School.

Frankie was an active member of Central Christian Church in Marion, Rachael's Circle, The Grant County Ladies Bowling Association and the Phi Delta Kappa Ladies Club. She was an avid quilter and enjoyed spending time with her family and many lady friends.

She was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers, Edna, Pearl, Lou, Zula, Hyman and Preacher, all of Texas.

Survivors include: two daughters Patricia Ferguson, Marion and Debra Eaton, Gas City; one sister, Bernice; five brothers, Bud, Dwight, Pepper, Carl and Rex, all of Texas; three grandchildren, Paula (Stephen) Lhamon, Upland, Pamala (John Robert) Turney, Jacksonville, Florida, and Brian Eaton, Gas City; six great-grandchildren, Casey and Tyler Lhamon, Upland, Joshua and Jackson Turney, Jacksonville, Florida, Haylee and Hunter Eaton, Marion.

A celebration of Frankie's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday November 8, 2012, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana with Kenny Kaylor officiating.

Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 7, 2012, in the funeral home.

Burial will be held in Grant Memorial Park Cemetery, Marion, Indiana.
