Franklin N. Davis

Franklin N. Davis, age 74, of Gas City, passed away on Friday, November 24, 2023, at home surrounded by his family.

Franklin was born on November 6, 1949, the son of the late Paul Davis and Roberta (Youngsman) Davis.  He married Nancy J. Call on July 31, 1992, and she preceded him in death on April 2, 2004.  Franklin was an Army Veteran, and then worked in maintenance at General Motors until his retirement

He enjoyed sitting on his porch with his dog, Hershey, and spending time with his great-granddaughter, Addison, who always made him so happy.  Franklin also enjoyed his coffee and playing the Lotto, and spending time with his girlfriend, Betty Riley.

He is survived by his son, Franklin (Penny Dodson) Davis of Gas City; a daughter, Jessica (Johnny) Gonzales; two step-sons, John Call of Michigan and Bradley Call of Marion; brothers, Joe (Wanda) Davis, Dallas (Vicki) Davis, Gary (Brenda) Davis, Dennis (Shelly) Davis, all of Michigan, and Mick Davis of Missouri; a sister, Marilyn Fish of Michigan; many grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and his girlfriend, Betty Riley.

He was also preceded in death by two daughters, Schenley and Laura Davis; two brothers, Duane and Carol Davis; a sister, Roberta Ann Craig; and a daughter-in-law, Kandi Davis.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, December 1, 2023, at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, 15501 Dickman Road, Augusta, Michigan.
