Franklin D. "Frank" Wilson, age 70, of Marion, passed away at 1:35 a.m. Thursday, October 8, 2009, at Miller's Merry Manor, Marion.
Frank was born November 24, 1938, in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, the son of the late Hugh and Lavy Ree (Keele) Wilson. He married Wauneta Sue Boucher on September 8, 1984. She survives.
He was an Army veteran. He worked at the Marion General Motors plant in tool & die until his retirement.
He was a member of the Moose Lodge, Marion; the American Legion, Van Buren; Samaritan Lodge #105 F&AM; the Scottish Rite, Ft. Wayne and the Shriners, Ft. Wayne. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include: wife, Sue Wilson of Marion, Indiana; three sons, Timothy Wilson (Mary) of Muncie, Indiana, Hugh Andrew Wilson (Missy) of New Castle, Indiana, and Bruce Allen Wilson (Cindy) of Albany, Indiana; two daughters, Delilah Dawn Perry of New Castle, Indiana, and Sheila Ann Matherly (Eric) of San Antonio; Texas, 15 grandchildren & 12 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, William Wilson, step-brother, Charlie Wilson, sister, Faye Magline and son-in-law, Ronald Perry.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 12, 2009, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion with Reverend Frank Martin officiating.
Burial will be in Gardens of Memory, Huntington County, Indiana.
Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
