Fred Lostutter, age 85, of Marion, passed away at 9:44 a.m. Monday, May 1, 2017 at Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.
Fred was born August 24, 1931 in Marion, Indiana to the late John and Gertrude (Yeager) Lostutter. He married Shirley Lewis on November 17, 1956, and she survives.
He was a 1950 graduate of Marion High School and then Marion Business College in 1965. Fred was an account for Marion Trucking and was President of Ken Corporation, both in Marion. He also worked for Star Financial and retired in 2000. He was a board member at WGOM Radio and a former member of the Chamber of Commerce. He attended the Church of God in Marion.
Fred enjoyed reading history especially about WWII. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Fred was a sports fan and especially enjoyed watching Marion Giants football, baseball and basketball games. He saw his Cubs win the World Series and the Colts and the Bears each win the Superbowl. He also liked going to the Indianapolis 500.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Lostutter of Marion; son, Michaed C. Lostutter of Carmel; daughter, Deborah S. (Randolph) Shields of Witchita, Kansas; grandchildren, Kristin Shields and Kala Huerter; and 3 great-grandchildren.
Friends and family may call from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2017 in Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
