Geneva Stevens

Geneva “Genny” Stevens, age 51 of Marion passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020 in her home surrounded by her family.

Genny was born March 30, 1969 in Marion, Indiana the daughter of the late Thomas Scheidt and Susan (Stevens) Scheidt.  She married Ryan Stevens on November 16, 1990, and he survives.  Genny was a secretary at Tri-R Steamer.

Genny was a true fighter.  She battled heart disease for 13 years and was a LVAD Recipient in 2010; and lived with that for almost 10 years which is almost unheard of but she did it with grace.  She also was very close to her two dogs, Diesel and Sheeba, and will miss them dearly.  She dearly loved her husband, children and family.

She is survived by her husband, Ryan Stevens of Marion; her mother, Susan Scheidt of Marion; a son, Brandon Stevens and a daughter, Heather Stevens, both of Marion; and a brother, Thomas Scheidt, Jr. of Warren.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Valeria Scheidt.

Friends and family may call from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 18, 2020 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.  Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Steve Johnson officiating.  Burial will follow funeral services in Jefferson Cemetery in Upland, Indiana.

Due to the Governor’s continued COVID-19 restrictions, masks will be required at the funeral home and social distancing is suggested.
