Genevieve E. (Dick) Pinkerton, age 90, passed away Monday, November 4, 2013, at Suite Living, Marion, Indiana.
Genevieve was born March 12, 1923, in Sandy Lake, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Karl and Madge (Berringer) Dick. She married Melvin Pinkerton in 1975, and he preceded her in death in 2005.
Genevieve was a secretary at Landola Trailer Company in Converse, Indiana and then at Wesleyan World Headquarters for twenty years, before retiring from the Sweetser Post Office in 1986. She was a member of Nelson Street Wesleyan Church and enjoyed knitting and painting.
Survivors include: step-son, George (Marcia) Pinkerton of Fishers, Indiana; two step-daughters, Lois (Steve) Urnowey of Pensacola, Florida, and Velma (Charles) Shroyer of Sweetser, Indiana; 7 grandchildren & 14 great-grandchildren; and 11 nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy Poling and Anna (Sally) Salome Davidson Harris; and brothers, Arleigh (A.J.), Dale & Dallas Dick.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 6, 2013, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana with Pastor Steve Fletcher officiating.
Burial will follow services in Park Cemetery, Fairmount, Indiana.
Friends may call from noon to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 6 in the funeral home prior to funeral services.
