Glenna L. York, age 88, of Marion, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2015 in Marion General Hospital.
Glenna was born on March 22, 1927 in Marion, Indiana the daughter of the late Carl and Georgianna (Hart) Carey. She married Olen York on October 5, 1946, and he preceded her in death September 17, 2002. Glenna worked as a secretary in the Installment Loan Department at Summit Bank until her retirement.
She was a member of Grace Community Church and enjoyed the support group and bible study. She was also a member of the American Legion, and was past president of the Credit Women of Marion. She loved reading, working crossword puzzles and spending time with her family.
She is survived by a son, Olen York III (Caren) of Omaha, Nebraska; two daughters, Elaine (Gary) Turner of Fairmount, Indiana and Vickie (Tim) Wright of Henderson, Kentucky; 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Carl Carey and Clifford Carey.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 21, 2015, in Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 21, in the funeral home prior to funeral services.
Burial will immediately follow funeral services in Gardens of Memory, Huntington County, Indiana.
