Harold E. Guerin

Harold E. Guerin, age 101 of Marion passed away Friday, October 30, 2020 at Heritage Pointe of Warren, Indiana.

Harold was born July 11, 1919 in Pablo, Montana the son of the late Elza and Viola (Pickett) Guerin.

He married Marcella Fox on January 13, 1946, and she preceded him in death on July 12, 2001.  Harold proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII as a Chief Warrant Officer.  He then worked at the Marion VA Hospital as a Personnel Officer until his retirement.   Harold loved being around people so after retirement he worked part-time at Richards Men’s Store downtown, and also enjoyed working at Raven Funeral Home for many years.

Harold is survived by three daughters, Suzi J. Mason of Roanoke, Virginia, Lynn E. Butler of Sarasota, Florida and Nancy Fugate of Gas City; grandchildren, Aaron Mason (Michele), Scott Mason (Rosalind), Joshua Fugate, Justin Fugate and Rachel Temme; and two great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Guerin; and two sisters, Opal Bivens and Bea Leach.

Friends and family may call from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.  Graveside Services and burial will immediately follow the visitation at 1:30 p.m. in Estates of Serenity Cemetery in Marion with Chaplain Ginny Soultz officiating.
