Harry M. “Mike” Carter, age 73, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2023, at Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.
Mike was born on February 3, 1950, in Little Rock, Arkansas, the son of the late Harry W. and Ruth (Duckworth) Carter.
In his life, Mike was a prolific writer and poet. Mike married his soul mate, Cathey Sours in 2000. Mike and Cathey moved from Arkansas to Indiana, where they enjoyed RVing to music festivals, and handing out crystals from Arkansas. Mike always had a positive message to deliver with each crystal he handed out to people young and old. Many people, for years to come will hold their dear crystals and feel the positive energy that was, “Carter, the crystal guy”.
In addition to his wife, Cathey, he is also survived by his daughters, Mary (Paul) Messick Romanko of Massachusetts, Ashli (Ray) Messick Mashburn of Arkansas, Sara (Stephen) Carter Lane of Arkansas, and Emily (David) Carter Jackson of Arkansas; his special grandson, Jaxon Romanko of Massachusetts, and 4 grandchildren in Arkansas.
He was also preceded in death by one sister.
Tie Dye is encouraged for his Celebration of Life Visitation that will be held on Sunday, November 5, 2023, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Raven Choate Robinson Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
