HAZEL B. SAILORS, age 87, of Marion, went to be with Jesus at 6:34 a.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2008, surrounded by her children, grandchildren & her Pastor.
HAZEL was born on March 25, 1920, in Marion, Indiana, the daughter of the late Charles and Delta May (Jones) Vanderneck. On August 24, 1935, she married Carl J. Sailors. He preceded her in death on October 10, 1989.
Hazel was a self-employed housekeeper. She was a member of the Faith Apostolic Church of Marion and also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the church.
Survivors include Daughters, Judy Berry (Larry), Marilyn Kilgore (Mark), Leona Gray (John), Diana Sailors all of Marion, Indiana and Karen Tibbets of Jonesboro, Indiana; 11 grandchildren, Jessica, Starla, Michael, John, Stacie, Natalie, Rob, Delbert, Deloris, Joey & Eugene; 18 great-grandchildren & 4 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 9 Half Brothers & Half Sisters and two grandchildren, Ricky Kidwell and Brenda Sanders.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 14, 2008, at Faith Apostolic Church, 902 W. 16th. Street, with Reverend Clarence E. Hand officiating.
Burial will be in Estates of Serenity, Marion, Indiana .
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 13 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
