Hilda J. Paul

HILDA J PAUL, age 83, died on Friday, May 1, 2009, at Colonial Oaks Health Care Center, Marion. HILDA was born on March 14, 1926, in Elwood, Indiana, the daughter of the late Lyman and Nola (Hughes) Robertson. She married William Curtis, who preceded her in death in 1960, she then married Max Paul, who also preceded her in death in 1997.



HILDA was a hairdresser, and owned Hilda's Beauty Salon in Marion and Gas City, retiring in 1985. She was a member of Gas City Moose Lodge, Gas City VFW Post #6728, American Legion and the Hairdressers Association.


Survivors include Daughter, Beverly Bartel (David) of Marion, Indiana; Grandson, David Jernigan (La Rinda) of Phoenix, Arizona; Granddaughter, Lisa O'Brien of Indianapolis, Indiana; Grandson, Michael O'Brien of Indianapolis, Indiana; and Great-Grandchildren, Chaz, Leif, Rafe, Sam, and Lily Jernigan.


She was also preceded in death by her Daughter, Carol O'Brien; Sisters: Marie Blevins, Thelma Simpson, Daisy Edward & Ruth Mosier; and Brother, Waldo Robertson.


Per her request, there will be no visitation. Services will be held at a later date in Scottsdale, Arizona. Burial will be in Paradise Memorial Gardens, Scottsdale, Arizona.
