Irene (Miller) Larrison

Irene Larrison, age 98, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2013, surrounded by her loving family in her daughter's home in Sweetser, Indiana.

Irene was born on October 12, 1915, in Miami County, Indiana, the daughter of the late William and Francis (Yoars) Miller. She married John E. Larrison on January 17, 1934, and he preceded her in death on February 9, 1980. She was a homemaker and also helped her husband John with the farm and seed corn sales.

She was a member of Amboy Friends Church and a lifetime member of the Eastern Star in Converse, where she was also a past Worthy Matron. Irene enjoyed playing cards, especially Euchre and loved spending time with her granddaughter.

Survivors include: daughter, Lila (Steve) Piper of Sweetser, Indiana; daughter-in-Law, Joellen Larrison of Mt. Zion, Illinois; grandchildren, Katelyn (Chris) Becht of Noblesville, Indiana, John E. (Melissa) Larrison of Mt. Zion, Illinois, and Scott (Annie) Larrison of Weldon, Illinois; 4 great-grandchildren; and her diva dog, Sadie.

She was also preceded in death by infant twin sons, a son, Darrell W. Larrison on July 27, 2004, and a brother, Carl Miller.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 14, 2013, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, with Pastor Brian Warner officiating.

Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery, Amboy, Indiana.

Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
