Irvin C. Bandy, age 100, of Marion, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Rolling Meadows Health & Rehabilitation in LaFontaine, IN.
Irvin was born May 14, 1915 in Gage, Oklahoma the son of the late Herman and Lucinda (Elderinghoff) Bandy. He married Margaret Enslen, on October 24, 1962 and she preceded him in death on May 1, 2011.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran and retired from Fisher Body. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, the Lions Club, American Legion, VFW, and the Moose.
He is survived by his son, Robert (Diane) Bandy of Marion and step-son, Robert (Lillian) Pearson of Marion; 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 28 great-great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by son, Ron Jackson; daughter, Marita Woodcox; and grandson, Bob Bandy Jr.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. (noon), Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion with Father Richard Weisenberger officiating.
Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 in the funeral home prior to service.
Burial will follow funeral services Estates of Serenity, Marion, Indiana.
