Jacqueline J. Stevens, age 68, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2014, in her home.
Jacqueline was born February 26, 1946, in Marion, Indiana, the daughter of the late Louie and Mildred (Woodard) Young. On June 23, 1962, she married Michael G. Stevens, and he preceded her in death on August 16, 2009.
She was a deputy and former trustee for the Grant County Sheriff's Department, and retired after 26 years of service. She also worked at RCA, Essex Security, and was a former president of the F.O.P, and was a member of Job's Daughters. She loved her dogs and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, crocheting, knitting and bowling.
Survivors include: three sons, Richard Stevens of Marion, Indiana, Ronald (D'Shea) Stevens of Florida, and Mike (Julia) Stevens of Marion, Indiana; two daughters, Trish (Troy) Richards of Gas City, Indiana, and Michele (John) Adkins of Middleburg, Florida; 28 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; step-sister, Janet McWhirt (Jim) of Sweetser; and best friend, Stacey Stevens of Marion, Indiana.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Richard Young, and step-mother, Estle Young.
Funeral Services will be held at Noon, Monday, April 7, 2014, at Grace Community Church, 1810 E. Bradford Pike, Marion, Indiana, with Reverend Tom Mansbarger officiating.
Burial will be in Marion National Cemetery, Marion, Indiana.
Friends may call from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, April 6, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
