JAMES "JIM" ROBERT HINTON, age 61, died on Monday, August 11, 2008, at Southcoast Medical Center, Laguna Beach, California.
Jim was born on August 15, 1946, in Bloomington, Indiana, the Son of the late Paul Hinton and the late Irene Campbell.
JAMES graduated from Marion High School in1964 and Washington University, St Louis, MO. in 1969 with an Engineering Degree. While in College he played football, was a member of the Tau Beta Pi & Eta Kappa Nu Fraternities, and a member of the Air Force R.O.T.C. He then completed his Masters Degree from The University of New Haven, NewHaven, CT and had worked on his dissertation for his PHD.
He served in the Air Force as a Captain during the VietnamWar, stationed in Montana, Vietnam and Homestead, Fl.
Jim ,like his father, loved to fly and was a licensed pilot.
He was an accomplished musician playing the viola and piano.
Jim was an engineer working for various companies in Florida, Connecticut, Indiana, Michigan, and California.
He was a member of American Society of Quality and the Program Management Institute.

Hinton (Pamela) of Madison, Tn., Aunt, Ruth Albright (John) of Spencer, In., Aunt, Doris Davis (William) of Hartford, Ky, Aunt, Helen Wells (Richard) of Putnamville, In., Uncle, Earl Campbell of Hartford, Ky., a host of nieces, nephews, step-nieces, step nephews, great-nieces, great-nepheews, step great-nieces, step-great-nephews, and cousins.
Services will be held at 12:30 PM on Wednesday, August 20, 2008, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Marion National Cemetery, Marion, Indiana .
