James O. Holmes

James O. Holmes, age 94, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2015, at Marion General Hospital, Marion, Indiana.
James was born May 22, 1921, in Selmer, Tennessee, the son of the late Ed and Emma Holmes. He married Virginia Lewis, and she preceded him in death. He retired from Sears Roebuck in the late 1970's.
He enjoyed working on cars and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include: two sons, James Troy Holmes of Biloxi, Mississippi and James "Buzz" (Sue) Holmes of Marion, Indiana; two daughters, Kim D. (Herb) Warren of Marion, Indiana and Donna (Kenny) Murley of Tennessee; and several grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Holmes, a daughter, Linda Diane Moore, and brother, JP Holmes.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 6, 2015, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana, with Reverend Tom Mansbarger officiating.
Burial will be in Grant Memorial Park Cemetery, Marion, Indiana.
Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday in the funeral home prior to funeral services.
