James Edward Lostutter, age 86, passed away Monday, June 8, 2015, at the VA Northern Indiana Health Care Center, Marion, Indiana.
James was born May 17, 1929, in Marion, Indiana, the son of the late Hillary and Grace (Lewark) Lostutter.
James was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean Conflict. He then worked at Bell Fibre for 49 years, retiring in 1991. After retirement, he worked until 2011 in day treatment at the V.A. Hospital in Marion. James enjoyed playing BINGO at the VA, bowling and playing pool and shuffleboard on leagues.
Survivors include: son, James Lostutter, Sr. of Upland, Indiana; daughter, Karen Lostutter Cooper of Pompano Beach, Florida; sister, Coleen Pilgrim of Wabash, Indiana; 2 grandchildren, James Lostutter, Jr. and Maegan (Brodie) Burbank; 2 great-grandchildren, Boston and Berlin Burbank; niece, Cathy (Ken) Barnett; and nephew, Steve (Ruthann) Pilgrim.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Richard Lostutter.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 12, 2015, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana with Reverend Tom Mansbarger officiating.
Burial with full military honors will be in Marion National Cemetery, Marion, Indiana at 11:00 a.m. on Friday following funeral services.
Friends may call from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 12, 2015 in the funeral home prior to funeral services.
