James K. Moses

James K. Moses, age 77, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2012, at the Sterling House, Marion, Indiana.

James was born on July 20, 1934, in Decatur, Indiana, the son of the late James C. Moses and Pauline (Roughia) Moses, who survives. He married Carolyn McDougal on July 30, 1955, and she preceded him in death. James was co-founder of Grant County Manufactured Housing.

James enjoyed watching basketball, was a sports enthusiast and loved going boating, bowling, and spending time with his family. He attended First Presbyterian Church in Decatur and also St. James Lutheran Church in Marion.

Survivors include: mother, Pauline (Roughia) Moses of Decatur, Indiana; two sons, Stuart (Kim) Moses of Marion, Indiana, and Tim (Cheryl) Moses of Sweetser, Indiana; two daughters, Becky (Kelly) Campbell of Jonesboro, Indiana, and Nancy (Darrin) Hutchinson of Athens, Tennessee; daughter-in-Law, Becky Moses of Marion, Indiana; brother, Larry (Sid) Moses of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; grandchildren, Ryan, James, Susan, Sarah, Stacie, Aaron, Andrew, Corbett, Courtney, Laura, Kristin, Matt, Katelyn, and Morgan; 8 great-grandchildren, special aunt, Geraldine Sprunger of Decatur, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by two sons, Chris and Tony Moses, and a granddaughter, Brittany Hutchison.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 18, 2012, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, with the Reverend Gary Ashbrooke officiating.

Burial will be in Grant Memorial Park, Marion, Indiana.

Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 17, 2012, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
